RED by John Logan
Behold the fury of Mark Rothko, celebrated bad boy of the art world, as powerful pigments and opinions splatter the canvases of his newly commissioned works for New York's luxury restaurant, The Four Seasons. Paint collides with canvas live on stage, as masterpieces are born and torn down in a visceral experience that spills off the stage and forever changes the way you see red. Raw and provocative, winner of six Tony Awards including Best Play, Red is a searing portrait of an artist's ambition and vulnerability as he tries to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.Presented by Theatre Workshop Nantucket at Bennett Hall, 62 Centre Street.
