Spring Vacation Days
Join us for Spring Vacation Days, a free community program for children and their families. This program features different crafts and activities Monday through Friday during school vacation week in the Discovery Room at the Whaling Museum, 13 Broad Street. Games, crafts, activities, music, and more. Explore the history of the NHA's many historic sites while making a different diorama each day. Children will also work on the Discovery Room's submission to the Arts Council's Giant Magic Daffodil Garden throughout the week. Help us create another unique masterpiece for this new tradition! Entrance to this FREE program is through the Discovery Room on Broad Street.

Vernal Pool Walk
Join Nantucket Land Council for this free and educational outdoor exploration. Vernal pools are bodies of water that form during the spring and provide essential habitat to a surprising variety of species, including the tiny freshwater fairy shrimp. Because these puddles house endangered species, they are potected from development by the Massachusetts Natural Heritage's Endangered Species program and the Wetlands Protection Act.
