A free weekly program, the Food for Thought lecture series features speakers and talent from Nantucket, Cape Cod, and beyond. Spring Vacation Days
Join us for Spring Vacation Days, a free community program for children and their families. This program features different crafts and activities Monday through Friday during school vacation week in the Discovery Room at the Whaling Museum, 13 Broad Street. Games, crafts, activities, music, and more. Explore the history of the NHA's many historic sites while making a different diorama each day. Children will also work on the Discovery Room's submission to the Arts Council's Giant Magic Daffodil Garden throughout the week. Help us create another unique masterpiece for this new tradition! Entrance to this FREE program is through the Discovery Room on Broad Street.

Join us for some creative construction. The library will supply the LEGO bricks and a suggested theme. Your LEGO masterpiece will be displayed in the Weezie Children's Library. Birding Basics Workshop
Learn the basics of looking at birds and then figuring out how to identify them. Notice differences in bill structure and shape, legs, feet and family affinities. Once you figure out what family the bird is in your choices narrow considerably. Classroom session on Thurs. April 24 from 5:30-7 P.M. This will feature power point photos and use and familiarization with field guides. The field trip to put into practice what we learned will be on Sat. April 26 from 9-11 A.M.
