Step 1:
A) Step 1: Go to the icon on your desktop labeled "Connect to the Internet" or "Internet Connection Wizard," (If this icon doesn't exist, click on the "Start" button on your toolbar, then "Programs," "Accessories," "Communications," and there you will find the "Internet Connection Wizard.") Use the left mouse button to click on this.

B) Click on the third bubble down next to "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)."
Then click the "Next" button at the bottom.

Step 2: In this next page click on the first button labeled "I connect through a phone line and a modem" Then click "Next."

Step 3:
A) This next page will ask for a telephone number. There are three numbers to choose from
• 508-228-4317
• 508-325-8800
• 508-680-3050
(Click Here for nationwide numbers) Make sure the check box next to "Use area code and dialing rules" is unchecked.
Then click on the button labeled "Advanced..."

B) This will open a pop-up window with two tabs along the top. Click on the tab labeled "Addresses."
On the Addresses page click on the second button underneath the "DNS server address" section labeled "Always use the following:"
Next to "Primary DNS server:" enter 204.249.164.1
Next to "Secondary DNS server:" enter 204.249.164.2
Click "Ok" at the bottom. Now that you're back to the previous page (the phone number page) click on "Next" button at the bottom.

Step 4: On this page type in your user name and password in the proper boxes.
Your username your primary email address (username@nantucket.net, for example).
Keep in mind that your username and password are all lowercase with no spaces.
When you have typed those in, click "Next."

Step 5:
On this page type "Nantucket.net" under "Connection name:"

Step 6:
On this page you have the option of setting up your email account.
We recommend continuing with the Wizard, so select "Yes" then click on the "Next" button below.

Step 7:
On this page click on the button next to "Create a new Internet mail account" then click on the "Next" button bellow.

Step 8:
In the box labeled "Display name" type in your name then click the "Next" button below.
|

Step 9:
In the box labeled "E-mail Address:" enter your email address. This should look similar to this- yourusername@nantucket.net
When this is completed click the "Next" button below.

Step 10:
On this page write "mail.nantucket.net" for both the Incoming mail server and the Outgoing mail server.
Then select the "Next" button below.

Step 11:
In the "Account name" box enter your username without the "@nantucket.net" portion. For example: if your email address is
yourusername@nantucket.net
then your account name is "yourusername."
Keep in mind that your username and password are all lowercase with no spaces. Then type in your password and make sure you check the box marked "Remember password."
Then select the "Next" button below.

Step 12:
You're all done! If you wish to connect right away make sure the
check box is checked then click on the "Finish" button below.
