Step 1:

A) Begin by going to the Start button and then to Control Panels

B) Under "Pick a category" select "Network and Internet Connections"

C) Under "Pick a task" select "Set up or change your Internet connection"

Step 3:

A) Under the "Connections" tab select the "Setup" button.

Step 4:

Click "Next" on this screen to progress.

If you make a mistake at any point you can use the back and next buttons to navigate this wizard.

Step 5:

Select the "Connect to the Internet" button.

Then click "Next"

Step 6:

Select the "Set up my connection manually" button.

Then click "Next"

Step 7:

Select the "Connect using a dial-up modem" (this should be the default setting).

Then click "Next"

Step 8:

Type in a name for the connection here. You can type anything you like, but I recommend using "Nantucket.net" as shown below.

When you're done, click "Next"

Step 9:

Now you must enter a phone number. Nantucket.net has 3 phone number for dial-in internet access. You may use any of the following numbers.

508-325-8800
508-228-4317

Enter one of those numbers here and click "Next" when you're done.

 
Step 10:

Enter your username and password in these boxes.

Your username is your primary email address. For example, my email address is help@nantucket.net and my username is help@nantucket.net.

Please remember that the username and password are both all lowercase with no spaces.

You can leave all three checkboxes at the bottom checked, when you're done click "Next"

Step 11:

That's it! You are almost finished!

Please be sure to click the box next to "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop".

When you've done that click "Finish"

Step 12:

On your desktop there should be a new icon called Nantucket.net.

Double click that to get the following screen.

Verify that the information has been entered correctly, make sure your phone line is free and hit "Dial".

If all goes well you should be connected and ready to go!
